To wrap up our 2021 season, Lazar Bakić, Porto Montenegro’s Marina Business Development Manager, summarizes:

“Despite our modest expectations for the summer season due to the pandemic, Marina Porto Montenegro still had an incredible 3 million visitors to our village, circa 2,000 yacht arrivals with over 90% occupancy in the middle of the season. The post-Covid recovery was led by the above 50 meter yachts where we saw a 25% increase in arrivals of these vessels and an average length of stay of 10% longer when compared with 2019. According to the Boat Pro AIS Data, the Adriatic was visited by 3,124 yachts above 24 meters, which is a 24% year-on-year growth on 2020, 23% on 2019 and 46% on 2018 implying a 10% CAGR.

Most of this growth is seen in high season traffic, which this year was at all time high with 2,099 yacht visits (46% higher than in 2019). This growth serves as a statement that Porto Montenegro continues to drive the whole region and play an important role in making it more attractive to the superyacht community every year.

In recognition of our efforts to align our vision with our clients’ expectations, this year we were awarded ACREW‘s ‘Best Superyacht Marina in the World’ which is considered the most prestigious and recognized global awards program, where ACREW‘s network of over 15,000 captains and members crews are invited to vote for companies with superyachts that deserve global recognition in their field.

After this great success in 2021, we look forward to 2022’s summer months but, in the meantime, we are busy enjoying our winter program, entertaining the crew and guests, until the next season begins.”
